At the Star Palace, Nikolaï performs his usual magic act: poetic, but a bit old-fashioned. Disillusioned, Nikolaï wanders in the deserted surroundings when, as if by magic, Maxime appears - it's Ariane von Star, a drag queen artist from the cabaret.
