"I was born in Mexico City. My dreams were to become a respectable dope fiend, but I could not accomplish this so I lost all self respect and became a cartoonist. I lived at the expense of Pat Sullivan and now Walt Disney carries the burden.” -From the June 20, 1931 edition of The Motion Picture Daily Zamora worked for a short time in the early 1950s with director Gene Deitch at the Detroit Jam Handy Organization's animation studio, where he animated the film, "Roger Windsock" for the US Air Force, and on an industrial information film for the Otis Elevator company. Deitch claimed that Rudy was easily the best animator the conservative Jam Handy Studio ever had!
