Jimena R. Herrera, graduated from ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuales de Catalunya) specialized in screenwriting and film directing. Starting from a latent interest in representing spaces and realities from an imaginary and aesthetic of memory and memories, with a feminine, queer and political perspective. She approaches her works from a raw magical realism, with a fascination for childhood and early maturities, with a personal identity character. “Romance de la Luna, Luna”, her debut short film as a screenwriter and director, has been her milestone since she began her studies in film. Made with the support of the Festival de Málaga, which has awarded the project with a prize for the “Audiovisual Creation Aid 2024”, it is now in the distribution phase.
